Video clipping for your workflow
Turn a webinar recording into short clips people can watch on their own
Webinars are made to cover a topic in depth, but many viewers will only encounter a short excerpt in a social feed. ThirdClip helps turn an uploaded webinar recording into a set of transcript-based clip suggestions. Review the moments, select the useful sections, and render branded MP4s for your publishing workflow.
Upload the recording you want to use
Begin with an MP4 file. ThirdClip is upload-first: it does not retrieve a recording from a webinar platform or accept a YouTube URL as the source. Export or download a recording you have permission to use, then upload that file through the app. This is useful for live sessions, recorded presentations, and training events when you already have the video on hand.
Set up a brand theme before processing. The onboarding flow lets you choose a brand name, colors, font preset, caption preset, and whether captions are enabled. You can also add a logo. These saved choices provide a consistent starting point for your webinar clips and can be updated when your visual style changes.
Find the parts that stand on their own
ThirdClip reads the transcript and ranks sections by how well they work as standalone short-form posts. Webinar picks can surface a practical tip, a clear explanation, or a useful answer from a question period. Each suggestion includes a title, a time range, and a score, giving you a way to review the moment in the context of the full recording.
The transcript helps narrow down a long session, but your judgment still matters. Check that the selected excerpt includes enough context and ends at a natural point. Keep the clips that communicate one complete idea. You can leave out sections that depend on slides or discussion viewers cannot see in the excerpt.
Render and download your selected clips
After reviewing the picks, render the clips you want. The output is a downloadable MP4 with your saved brand styling applied, including the logo, colors, font and caption settings you chose. Your team can then use the files in its normal social publishing process. ThirdClip prepares the video exports; it does not publish them to your social accounts.
This workflow makes an existing webinar recording useful beyond the original event. You do not need to manually scan every minute before finding candidate moments. Upload the source, review the suggestions, and keep the final selection aligned with your audience and the message you want to share.
